Water levels around Denver are starting to drop, but up in Glenwood the Colorado River is still running, and so are our K120 2-day river trips. Trips in Glenwood Canyon will be running through the end of September, at which point we at Renaissance start looking forward to tropical paddling in Costa Rica and Panama over the winter season. Our lake and river classes are up and running, with our first 2-day Novice River Clinic on the Colorado River this weekend. The start date for our 2-hour K103 class
has been postponed due to unusually high water levels on the Front Range, but the one day K111 river classes will be starting next weekend.
We have also introduce three new novice series that help you get into kayaking no matter what your schedule. The Trifecta consists of K101, 102 and 103, with each session lasting two hours after working hours during the week for $150. The 3-day Intensive series is the K110 full day lake class followed by the K120 2-day Novice River clinic for $330. The 2-day Series is the K110 full day lake followed by the K111 full day river for $200.

RA Guides has just completed the purchase of the Boulder Outdoor Center's outfitting business, making us the largest kayaking instructional program in Colorado. We have classes at 6 different recreation center pools, several lakes, and many rivers. We are also now offering avalanche and snowshoe clinics.
Look for more adventure training classes to be added soon.

Kayaking classes and open pool sessions are up and running at the Carmody pool in Lakewood and at the Community Center pool in Golden. You can easily sign up online, or by calling us. More classes will be starting at the Englewood pool in February.

More classes will be starting at the Golden pool in January.

Kayaking classes will finish up the last week in August, with the exception of sea kayaking classes and private lessons, which can be booked through September. Our international trip schedule starts in November and runs through March. Kayaking classes in pools will start again in February.

The Golden Community Center will be upgrading their locker rooms in August, which means no pool use. Thus, we will not be able to run the pool classes in Golden this month. However, the intro, roll, and open pool classes are still available on Sunday and Thursday evenings at Sheridan and Englewood, respectively.

Online booking now available for most kayaking classes and adventure travel trips. Individuals who feel comfortable booking their own courses can now do so completely online with our new reservation management system. This includes the first 4 people to sign up for Open Pool sessions!
RA Guides to host ribbon cutting ceremony at new office location in Lakewood, CO. The abrupt closure of the Mountain Miser store, our former home, in mid-January required us to find a new location. We are happy to announce that we have new and much improved office space in the heart of Lakewood. We will be celebrating with our grand opening on Thursday, May 11th from 4-7pm. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and say hi!
RA Guides launches new website. Online course and trip registration coming soon! We hope you like the look of our new website, and more importantly find it easier to navigate to find the information you need. We will shortly be implementing a system where you will be able to sign up and pay for your kayaking classes or adventure travel trips with us online, too. We expect to have this fully operational by April 15, 2006.
