Patty LaBarge

Patty LaBarge

Patty’s origins in whitewater begin in the Adirondacks Mountains of Northern New York State and on the Ottawa River in Ontario. Growing up the youngest of six taught her how to survive and gave her the gift of gab! She earned a B.A. in Journalism and Marketing from St. Bonaventure University in 1992. Colorado became her home in 2004 and she swears she’s never leaving (much to her mother’s disappointment back home). Patty has experience paddling in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and of course the United States. She is also on the Board of Directors for Colorado Whitewater, the oldest paddling organization in North American (since 1954). Patty started with Renaissance Adventure Guides full time in April of 2008 (after retiring from the corporate cubicle world permanently). Her official title is Office Manager / Marketing Director. She also loves to teach kayaking and is ACA and First Aid Certified.
